A bowl of melt in your mouth treat.

Here is something both fun to make and eat. Of course it is also delicious.

You will need:

Colored candy melts.  Pick the colors you want.  We picked pink and red.
balloons
ice cream
fun sprinkles
parchment paper
plastic decorator bag

First get your pan ready, blow up some balloons, but keep them small.  The bigger the balloon the bigger your candy bowl.

Next we dip the balloons into the melted candy. We did this step twice to make sure our bowls were thick and sturdy.
Set them on a cookie sheet lined with the parchment paper until they harden.  this will take about 20 minutes but you can speed things up by putting them in the refrigerator for about 5 minutes.

Once they have hardened,  pop the balloon and carefully pull it away from the candy. Set them aside.

On another piece of parchment paper draw some hearts with a pencil.  Fill the decorator bag with some of the melted candy melts. Trace the hearts and do some squiggles thru the middle.  Let them set until firm. After they harden slid a spatula under each one to loosen from the paper.  Use them as your treat topper.

When your ready to serve,  fill the candy bowls with ice cream, place your heart on the top and sprinkle your plate with some fun sprinkles.  The kids will love them!
